Before #MAFS there was #LULUShe is all things. She is nothing. She can be whatever you want her to be. She is easily found. Her name is #LULU and she’s nothing but trouble. She rises from the suburban gutter. Is a “looker.” Is trending on TikTok but is so over Twitter. She becomes #instafamous and celebrity status is achieved. But there’s a monster behind the hashtag. Shatter the filter, or one day it might kill her.
#LULU is a contemporary reclamation of Frank Wedekind’s play from the late 1800s, “Lulu – a monster tragedy." This world premiere will use Wedekind's script as the initial basis for this reclamation but will be set within a world that mashes 19th-century grit and pomp with the highly produced and ridiculous world of Reality TV. |
